I was just thinking that James should get some ‘pups’ in his pack and have them be girls and they make him sit through a tea party. Hehe! It’d be cute!! … Just thinking.
“It is really good.” She grinned at him. There were times her heart would skip a beat from these shared glances. Biting her lip, a slower eater than james, she was only half way through her steak, her thoughts catching her off guard. I wonder what James thinks of me.. She’d eat some broccoli, nibbling at it, giggling at herself when she remembered that they looked like little trees and she felt like a Giant eating them. Nose crinkling slightly, why would a Giant do that? Are our trees a Giant’s broccoli? Eyes turning up to James, smiling warmly, she was having a great time with him, she always did.
He noticed her slightly skipping beats… But maybe it was because she was enjoying her steak so much? He glanced up at her when she giggled. “What’s so funny?” he asked a big slowly, taking some of his own veggies on his fork. Even though not much was being said between them, he was enjoying her company… He really was. It was nice to be around her again… It was a change in routine too.
She blushed when she realized she was staring, biting her lip and looking down to her steak, eating as well. Brushing her hair back over her shoulder, he could see her bounce slightly when she found a piece that she liked, purring softly. Even though the two of them had only hung out once or twice, he was definitely high on the list of people she’d like to stay around. They were quiet, but it wasn’t awkward, she just smiled and stole glances of him, remembering the time they had spent together.
He glanced up to see her blush and look down at her food. If it wasn’t for that one out of place beat of her heart, he probably would never know. He grinned to himself and stared down at his own food, taking it piece by piece. He looked up when he heard her purr again, obviously happy with her steak. “Is it good?” he asked with a playful grin. He ran a hand through his hair and continued to eat, almost done with his meal. When he would steal glances he would sometimes catch her eyes and he, himself, blushed slightly. What was this? … He was blushing… His cheeks felt hot. James didn’t blush a lot… Or so he thought, and it was a weird feeling.
She smiled softly, understanding what he was going for, Listening to him, “I’ll think about it, okay?” Smiling softly, looking at her steak, grinning, looking back at him, “Eat, my hungry wolfy, you need all the energy you can get.” She grinned at her nickname for him. She was affectionate with him, that crush she had from before still there in the far reaches of her mind, but she didn’t push it out, she felt they’d probably just be friends. She started eating, biting her lip after and smiling, “Even if i didn’t become a wolf.. I’d very much like it if I could still help you guys out, I’d happily come fix up that house of yours, cook for you guys…” She shrugged “Be moral support?” She laughed lightly, bright blue eyes settling on James, eating more just letting him know that she’d always be there for him.
“Ok.” he said, suddenly feeling a bit guilty that he tried to persuade her that way. If she would have heard it, his heart skipped a beat and increased slightly with guilt. He ate the steak when commanded to. “This is delicious.” he said and put a piece in his mouth, not wanting to stuff his face with the steak. He listened to her words and he nodded, “And we’d love to have you do that.” he said with a nod. His blue eyes went back down to his food as he took another bite. He glanced at her every now and then, but he decided not to stare. He had to admit she was still beautiful… Well, no, he probably wouldn’t admit it to her but he could always think it. He didn’t know what to say so he kept on eating…
She laughs, head tilting, “Go on, give your speech. I don’t know what other kind of persuasions you’d have.” Grinning, taking a sip, watching as the waitress came and set down their plates then asked if they wanted more drinks, Liz just got a water to replace the nearly empty margarita.
James gave her a grin and leaned back over the table. “I may hit a kind of soft spot. Of I do then… Good.” the last part of his sentence was joking. But he hoped she would join his pack. And if she didn’t be could understand and he’d still like her. “Ok, well you’ll have everything,” he began and leaned back when the waitress put down the food. He shook his head when she asked if they wanted more drinks. He was good for now. He waited for the waitress to walk away. “Speed, strength, agility… Even stronger than you have it now.” he said and looked down at his food, his mouth watering at the smell. He looked back to her. “But… I know you’ve had some family problems,” he said, his voice getting softer. He looked down at his food and then took a bite from his steak, swallowing it before talking again. “If you joined my pack, you would have many people that would protect and love you,” he said and paused for a moment. “And they’d always be there for you… They could never leave… Ever.” he said and looked from his dinner to her. He shrugged softly. “You’d meet strong people… Creatures and hunters. You can turn anyone you want into a wolf.” he chuckled softly and looked up to her. “Just think about it…” he sighed and cut another piece of his steak. “But you don’t have to say yes…”
Giggling at his foot, nudging it back, grinning at him. Still playing with her drink, head tilting slightly, eyes sparkling slightly. “Just my every day average run of the mill wolfy then, huh?” Teasing him nose scrunching a bit. Leaning on the table, they were face to face. “It takes more than your cute face and sales-man routine to get me, love.” Grinning, touching her nose to his before leaning back.
James took a sip of his own drink and kept his eyes on her as she kept looking at him. He smiled at what she said. When she leaned closer to him he simply looked at her, the grin still on his face. “Fine. But I have a whole line of persuasions. One that might cath your attention.” he said and when she touched her nose to his and pulled away he smiled softly and leaned back as well. “Shall I begin my speech?” he asked with a smile.
